Here at Lincoln Health we are searching for a Patient Registrar to work closely with our clinic staff in our Primary Care Clinics. The Patient Registrar will assist with registering patients to receive medical services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while obtaining demographic information, validating insurance, and collecting payments. The registrar answers and/or refers questions received from patients, visitors, and staff. This position also requires knowledge with scheduling and contacting patients regarding appointments. The registrar will be expected to perform clerical duties necessary for the workflow process of multiple providers to see patients in one office.
The Medical Assistant will ensure the efficient and effective flow of patients during scheduled clinics through performing nursing duties. The employee will participate in the development of clinic objectives and participate in quality assessment and improvement processes and activities. The employee will maintain patient care supplies, equipment and the environment.
The Medical Assistant will protect the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients and their families, as well as co-workers and others. Lincoln Health Family Practice Clinics support and encourage a multidisciplinary team approach to whole person patient centered care with the integration of primary care and behavioral health services.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. Health care education and/or experience is highly desirable. Medical Terminology and/or Anatomy and Physiology course helpful. Strong communication and customer service skills. Computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records system. Be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Willing to train the right person.
Compensation: Pay is dependent upon experience and qualification.
